Security, Cryptography - Password Manager

This lab focuses on cybersecurity fundamentals through the hands-on development of a secure command-line password manager. Drawing from recommendations by French security agencies (CNIL and ANSSI), the project covers three core topics: Password strength: evaluating and generating strong, randomized passwords based on entropy. Data encoding: understanding character encodings and handling binary data streams. Encryption & key derivation: protecting sensitive data using symmetric encryption (AES via Fernet) and deriving secure encryption keys from a master password using PBKDF2HMAC.
